Winter Reading Program
Our adult winter reading program ended on March 31. Congratulations to Ethel Heidesch – winner of the final drawing! All those who participated and read 10 books may turn in their reading log and receive their prize.

Magazine, Video & Book Sale
Our annual magazine, video, and book sale began on Monday, April 3 at the Alton Public Library. Items for sale: Bundle of Magazines $.25 – Videos Free – Hardcover books $.50 – Paperbacks $.25. The sale will continue through Saturday, April 29.

Preschool Story Time
Come join the fun as we read stories, sing songs, and make crafts! Programs will be held on April 5, 12, 19 and May 3. All sessions are held from 10:30 – 11:30 am.

National Library Week
Come to the library the week of April 10 – 15 and help us celebrate National Library Week!

Easter Activities
The annual Easter egg hunt will be held at the Band Shell Park in Alton on Saturday, April 15 at 10:00 am. After the egg hunt, all children are invited to hop on over to the Alton Public Library for crafts!

Adult Book Club
The adult book club will meet on Tuesday, April 25 at 6:30 pm. This month we are reading the book The Boys in the Bunkhouse by Dan Barry. Copies are available for you to pick up at our library.

Afterschool Workshop
An afterschool workshop will be held on Friday, March 3 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm. All children in grades K – 6th are invited to join this educational program “Too Good for Drugs” led by Cheryl Buntsma of Compass Pointe. It will include activities from the 4H Spy Kit which reinforce the skills necessary to help keep students safe, make good decisions, and learn about resources in their community to support positive choices.
