Preschool Story Time
Preschool story time programs will begin Wednesday, January 4 @ 10:30 am at the Alton Public Library. Come join the fun as we read stories, sing songs, and make crafts! Programs will also be held on January 11, 18, February 1, 8, 15, March 1, 8, 15, 22, April 5, 12, 19 and May 3, 10.

Babygarten
The Alton Public Library will be having Babygarten programs on Wednesday mornings @ 10:00 am beginning January 25. Our eight week session will continue through March 15. Parents, grandparents and caregivers are invited to attend with children age 0 – 3 years old.

Christmas Drawings

Holiday Closing
The Alton Public Library will be closing at noon on Saturday, December 31 and will not be open on New Year’s Day and Monday, January 2.

Holiday Closings
The Alton Public Library will be open from 10:00 – 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 24 and closed on Christmas Day and Monday, December 26. We will also be closing at noon on Saturday, December 31 and will not be open on New Year’s Day and Monday, January 2.

Playing Cards at the Alton Public Library
The Alton Public Library would like to invite all adults interested in playing cards to come on Tuesday afternoons at 1:30 pm. Cards and hot beverages are provided. Games played will be decided by those attending. All ages Welcome!

We wish to thank all those who came and visited Santa and Mrs. Claus at the library on Saturday. A special thank you to the Alton Chamber for donating the bag of candy and the Alton Public Library board and staff for contributing the Christmas snacks. We truly appreciate the support given to the children in our community!

After School Workshop
Sunday Ford will be presenting an afterschool workshop on Friday, December 9 at 1:30 pm. Program will be followed by Christmas activities concluding at 3:30 pm. All children in grades K – 6th grade are well to attend!

Santa At The Library
Santa will be at the Alton Public Library on Saturday, December 10 from 10:00 – Noon. All children are welcome to share their wish list and get a bag of treats. Christmas snacks will be served along with Christmas crafts for the children!

Holiday Activities – Alton Chamber

Christmas in Alton coming up on Dec. 10th.
It will take place at the Alton Library from 10am to noon.
Santa will be there for pictures along with crafts/games for the kids and a candy grab bag.

Alton Chamber bucks are available as gifts for the holiday season.
Buy $100 in chamber bucks for $85. Max $300 per household to be used at Alton Chamber businesses. These can be purchased at the insurance office downtown Alton. See Breanne.

There will be a Christmas Chamber drawing on Monday Dec. 16.
Register at participating chamber businesses to win $100, 75, 50 or 25 in Chamber bucks.

The Alton Public Library will be closed on Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25.
The library will be open regular hours (10:00 – 4:00 pm) on Saturday, November 26.

Adult Book Club
The adult book club will meet on Tuesday, November 29 at 6:30 pm. This month each member of the club may pick out a book written by Joanne Fluke. She is a bestselling author of the Hannah Swenson mystery series. You will find a variety of books to choose from at the Alton Public Library!
